Why the Pinnacle Chart Show?
After the liberalization of the airwaves, Ghana has seen several Radio Stations which has greatly diversely aided the music industry to develop. There has almost been as many chart shows as there have been Radio Stations. Most of these Stations with the intention of providing some form of standardization and a system of rating have based the tabulation of their various charts on Music Sales and Airplay.
Unfortunately, the sales section is dominated by the informal sector which has no proper form of recording sales and thus churning out credible sales figures. These stations involved in the tabulation of such Charts mostly devote little time and resources to such productions as they may not directly be beneficial to the station. Mostly they monitor their own airplay leaving those of other stations.
Subsequently, most stations have had to stop their productions as a result of CREDIBILITY LOSS and LACK OF PROPER and VERIFIABLE CRITERIA.
There is thus the need for a proper and standardized system of telling which songs are doing well and those which have been well produced in other to help promote good music and encourage innovations and professionalism.

CONCEPT & SCOPE
To creditably reward and promulgate the production of high quality Ghanaian Music in the music industry is the very bedrock upon which The Pinnacle Music Chart Show is built. By this notion, deserving quality produced Ghanaian Music will not pass unnoticed under the pretext of lack of airplay thereby aiding the promotion and rewarding the efforts of quality good Ghanaian music production.
It is worth noting that, this music chart show allows for the enjoyment of every song that makes it to the chart by the listening populace. (At least duration of three minutes each) Other good tunes as penciled by the Pinnacle Music Group are also PLAYED
